Charging speeds are heavily dependent on your local power phase and outlet types. Additionally, the current state of charge of your vehicle can greatly affect the speed of charging. However, here are a few examples of EZgo charging speeds:
Using a standard household outlet with the 10 A tail (single phase, 240 V):
Charging power is ≈ 2.4 kW, providing approximately 10–15 km of range per hour. An 8‑hour overnight charge adds roughly 80–120 km of range, suitable for short daily commutes or emergency top‑ups.
Using a higher‑capacity outlet with the 15 A tail (single phase, 240 V):
Charging power increases to ≈ 3.6 kW, providing approximately 15–22 km of range per hour. For a vehicle with an 80 kWh battery, charging from 20 % to 80 % takes around 13–14 hours, ideal for longer overnight sessions or weekend full charges.
Note: For all situations, actual range added will vary depending on vehicle energy consumption.
